Type O

“It is extremingly amountingly important to performe spellingnation and grammarfication checks on emails before they go out. It is not use too check it aftershave it goes out of the outbox queuuee.”

That’s what my English teacher used to say. Sorry. Professor. My English Professor. They get mad when you don’t use the right title. Understandably so. Professors get to sleep with their students legally. Teachers…not so much.

What was I saying? English. Right.

I sent out an email today with a typo. It wasn’t even a typo-typo. I spelled it correctly, but it wasn’t the correct word to use in the context of that sentence.

It made me sad. Ruined my day really.

I was born with a widow's peak and a thick accent. I majored in English as a second language. I work (marianeladearmas.com) and travel (alittlecubangoesalongway.com) and sometimes do both.
